Seasonal Delivery Driver

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasonal delivery driver to join our team at Growers Station. Growers Station is a non-profit business that provides local farmers and producers with marketing, sales and distribution in the wholesale market. As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for delivering fresh produce and other local products to local businesses, restaurants, and markets. You will play an essential role in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality products in a timely and efficient manner, while learning all about the food community on PEI.

Responsibilities

The Administrative Coordinator is responsible to:

  • Safely and efficiently transport farm products from the farm to various destinations.
  • Load and unload products onto the delivery vehicle.
  • Sort orders both at the warehouse and on the farms.
  • Follow delivery schedules and prioritize deliveries to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure that products are delivered in good condition and notify the manager of any damaged products or quality standards.
  • Collect payments from customers as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and managers to ensure smooth delivery operations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
  • Perform routine vehicle checks and maintenance, including filling gas, cleaning vehicles etc.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Assist with internal operations as needed.
  • Work as a customer relations contact for both producers and customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Prior experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Familiarity with the local area and traffic patterns.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow delivery schedules.

This is a full time seasonal position, running May 1st- Sept 31st. The work schedule may vary based on the needs of the business, and there may be opportunities for overtime during peak delivery periods. Summer Students

  • Duration: 12 weeks
  • Pay: $18hr

Marketing and Social Media Intern

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns
  • Manage our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Create engaging and creative content for social media posts and campaigns
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns and other marketing tasks as needed
  • Go on site to farms, restaurants and retail locations to take photos and videos
  • Capture product stock photos

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Knowledge of social media best practices and trends
  • Creative and innovative mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a Summer Operations Student to assist with various day-to-day operations tasks during our busy season. The successful candidate will work closely with our Operations team to ensure the efficient and effective execution of our business processes. Duties may include:

  • Assisting with scheduling and coordinating production and/or distribution activities
  • Helping with inventory management and control
  • Supporting the management of supply chain logistics
  • Providing general support to the Operations team as needed
  • Delivery
  • Customer relations

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in operations, supply chain management, business administration or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    Prior experience in a similar role or industry is an asset, but not required.

 

Events & Sales

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of events such as pop-up markets
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute event marketing campaigns
  • Participate in sales meetings and present our products and services to prospective customers
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build relationships with existing customers
  • Work with our sales platform to monitor orders, onboard new customers, report on sales
  • Manage event logistics
  • Assist with event setup and tear down
  • Create and execute with the sales team new retail pop-up ideas

Requirements

  • Experience in event planning or sales is an asset
