Building business skills and connections is one of the biggest challenges new farmers face. Our Farmer Business Mentorship Program connects new and next-generation farmers with experienced mentors to help strengthen business knowledge, develop strategy, and build long-term farm viability.
What the Program Offers
30 hours of mentorship
(in-person or virtual)
Online educational resources and seasonal check-ins
One-on-one guidance from experienced farmers
Peer learning and networking opportunities
Fall reflection and wrap-up session
Mentors use a coach approach, helping mentees identify goals, overcome obstacles, and chart a path toward sustainable business success.

Are you a new farmer (1–10 years in business) looking to build a thriving, sustainable operation? This program offers hands-on guidance to grow your farm’s business, marketing, and financial management skills.
What Mentorship Provides
- Approx. 20 hours of one-on-one mentorship
- Access to a business goal setting toolkit
- Support and resources from Growers Station staff
- A supportive community of farmers and mentors
Program Commitments
- Participate in 30 hours of mentorship over the year
- Attend orientation, webinars, and wrap up sessions
- Share basic farm and financial metrics
- Complete program evaluations

Mentor Benefits
